The Host
Nadja Wlasiuk is a board-certified nurse practitioner and doctor of nursing practice specializing in electrophysiology, a clinical subspecialty of cardiology focusing on heart rhythms and cardiac implantable devices. She currently practices at UCSF Health in San Francisco, California.
Her goal as a clinician is to help her patients make informed decisions by providing recommendations based on the best evidence from practice and research.
She earned her master’s degree and certification as a pediatric nurse practitioner from the University of Florida in 2015. She then earned her doctorate in nursing practice and certification as a family nurse practitioner at the University of North Florida in 2019.
She has always been curious and had a passion for education. She served as faculty at the University of North Florida's School of Nursing for four years and is adjunct faculty for an online lactation program, teaching graduate and undergraduate classes.
Before becoming a nurse, she was a certified birth doula, childbirth educator, and birth assistant.
Outside of her professional life, Nadja is a mother to four incredible humans. Her family and friends inspire her greatly. Her grandmother, a World War II Ukrainian refugee, has profoundly influenced her life and professional career. She is an avid cyclist and enjoys being active and outdoors. Living in the San Francisco Bay Area allows her to hike and explore the beauty of the West Coast.
As a child/teenager, she was active in theater and chorus and aspired to have a career in the performing arts. While her life went in a different direction, it has come full circle
